• Pink has been on tour for some time
  • She was set to perform in Tacoma
  • THIS is why she had to postpone those shows

A day before Pink was slated to take over the Tacoma Dome for a two-night stand, the singer has postponed her Washington concerts. "I am so sorry to inform the Tacoma ticket holders that the two shows October 17 and October 18 (tomorrow and Wednesday) will be postponed," she wrote on Instagram. "Live Nation are working on future dates to reschedule. Family medical issues require our immediate attention. I send everyone my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. I am sending nothing but love and health to all."

Pink needs to attend to more important matters

The famously acrobatic pop singer’s Tacoma shows were one of the most anticipated local concert events of the season. The superstar is coming off a major summer stadium run on which she was joined by Washington’s own Brandi Carlile for a number of dates. This year Pink released her ninth studio album, 'Trustfall,' ranging from arena-thumping dance-pop to folkier singer-songwriter fare.

The announcement comes nearly a month after she had to reschedule her tour stop in Arlington due to a sinus infection. "Hi everyone. I’m very sorry to report that I have come down with a bad sinus infection, and the doctor advised me not to perform tonight," she wrote in her announcement. "I am so disappointed. You know I do everything in my power to never miss a show."

Soon after she made the announcement that Monday, many of Pink’s 10.3 million followers took to the comments to react to the somber news. "Lots of love to you and the fam. We will all be there whenever you are ready for us. Nothing but love and good thoughts coming your way!!” one fan remarked, while another added, "Take care of you and the family, we know you don’t cancel shows for any reason if not something really serious."

Following her tour dates in Tacoma, Pink is set to perform in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 20. And it looks like family's been on Pink's mind this week...on Sunday she wished a heavenly birthday to her late father, posting an old photo of them on social media and indicated he'd visited her from another realm.

Also interesting:

All in all, Pink continues to be one of the highest-selling artists in the world, and it's no doubt her postponement won't put much of a damper on fans' desires to see her. And now her family is becoming a bigger part of her performances as times goes on. During the first stop of the muti-city tour, Pink took the stage with Willow in the UK to perform the track "Cover Me In Sunshine."

Pink's tour has seen a number of odd gestures from Pink's fans: one concert-goer threw their mother's ashes onstage at a London show, while another handed the singer a giant wheel of cheese. Who knows what other surprises are in store for Pink before her tour is over. In any case, the singer has been quite private about her personal life, and it is unlikely we will find out what the emergency was this time.

Let's hope Tacoma fans can see her on stage very soon!
