Paul Reubens' movies and TV shows began in the early '80s when "Pee-wee Herman" sold out multiple theatres! His successful character turned into a series on HBO - The Pee-wee Herman Show - in 1981. 

Just a few years later in 1985, Reubens starred in Pee-wee's Big Adventure, which turned out to be a box office hit! The film was directed by the legendary Tim Burton and gained over $40 million in movie theaters!

His famed character had his own TV show, Pee-wee's Playhouse, from 1986-1990. The series won 15 Emmys and garnered several other nominations. Other shows and movies Reubens starred or appeared in, include:
