Presley Gerber has died. Cindy Crawford’s son died Sunday at the age of 27 at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles. The cause of death is not yet known, and a medical examiner’s report is still pending.
The family confirmed his death through a spokesperson and is asking for privacy. “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” the spokesperson said. In addition to his parents, Presley is survived by his sister, Kaia Gerber.
Presley Gerber Started Modeling at an Early Age
Gerber was born in 1999 and was signed with a modeling agency while still a teenager. He later worked with brands including Calvin Klein, Moschino, and Dolce & Gabbana, among others. Like his mother and sister, he pursued a career in fashion. Kaia Gerber has also made a name for herself as an actress. Presley was the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Most recently, on July 2, his mother publicly wished him a happy birthday and wrote that she was proud of the man he had become.
Presley Gerber: Speaking Candidly About Addiction and Depression
In recent years, Presley spoke publicly about mental health, depression, and addiction. In a podcast, he discussed his struggles and said he hoped his experiences could help others facing similar challenges.
On Instagram, he regularly posted videos titled “Mental Health Mondays,” focusing on therapy, overcoming addiction, and healthy lifestyle habits. His sister Kaia also recently spoke about her brother, describing him as a mentor who was open about his struggles.
Conviction for Drunk Driving
Another turning point came in 2019. In January, Gerber was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol; a court later sentenced him to three years of probation. He was also required to complete an alcohol education program and perform two days of community service. Several reports also mentioned a prior conviction related to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. At the time, the case brought him into the public eye beyond his modeling work.

In December 2025, Presley posted a video on Instagram, which was later deleted, in which he discussed medications he was taking for his panic attacks, including buprenorphine, Xanax, and Valium. “Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now,” Presley said at the time.
The video was among his final public statements in which he discussed his personal struggles. No further details regarding the cause of death or the circumstances surrounding his death at the facility are currently available.
