- Rihanna is the youngest self-made billionaire
- This was announced by Forbes magazine
- This is how she got her fortune
Congratulations, Rihanna (34)! The singer is the youngest self-made billionaire in the US (as of July 2022). She made her debut in April on the Forbes annual billionaire list as the richest female musician in the world.
And now Rihanna is 21st on the list of the richest self-made women in the country.
The "Love on the Brain" singer is worth around $1.4 billion, with a self-made score of 10. Forbes rates Self-Made on a scale of points. 10 points mean they "would need to have been born into poverty or the lower middle class, and faced adversity such as abuse, being left an orphan or forced to work low-paying jobs."
This is how Rihanna became the youngest self-made billionaire
Rihanna has generated her fortune herself, thanks largely to her beauty cosmetics line Fenty, which brought in over $550 million in sales in 2020. In addition, the singer also has a 30 percent stake in the lingerie line Savage x Fenty.
Her successful pop career had already seen her become the first person from Barbados to ever make the Forbes list.
