Long-lasting marriages in Hollywood are sometimes hard to come by these days, but Sam Elliott and Katharine Ross are two of the lucky ones. Sam Elliot is known for his frequent portrayal of cowboys and ranchers as well as his thick moustache and western drawl voice. He currently stars on the Netflix series The Ranch as well as caught the eye of audiences and fans alike in the recent film with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, A Star Is Born

Sam Elliott's Career

In the beginning of his career, Elliott wasn't always the star and staple that he is today. He is widely known for his roles in Road House (1989), Tombstone (1993) and The Big Lebowski (1998). He is one of the most respected actors in the business and continues to work on many projects today.

Sam Elliott's Wife Katharine Ross

Sam Elliott met his wife, Katharine Ross in "1978 while filming the horror movie The Legacy in London, in which they played a couple who are among a group of guests terrorized at a creepy English estate," according to CountryLiving. At the time, Katharine was on her fourth husband. She divorced him in 1979 and married Elliott in 1984. The couple have one daughter named Cleo Rose who is now 34 years old and is a talented musician.

Katherine Ross' Career

Katharine Ross is no stranger to Hollywood herself. The 79 year old actress had made it big in the entertainment business before her husband, with starring roles in The Graduate (1967) and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969). She is also still working on many projects to be released in the future as well as had a very successful career overall.

We are so happy for these two that they have made it work for so many years in the crazy world of Hollywood and we can't wait to see how Sam Elliott does at the Oscars this weekend!
