  • This is how Shakira feels after the breakup

In an interview with Elle, Shakira (45) describes the split from Piqué (35) as her "darkest hour' and admits: "Sometimes I just feel like this is all a bad dream and that I'm going to wake up at some point."

Especially with regard to their two children, life has become more difficult since the relationship ended:

"It’s been tough not only for me, but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult. I have paparazzi camping outside, in front of my house, 24/7. And there’s not a place where I can hide from them with my kids, except for my own house. You know, we can’t take a walk in the park like a regular family or go have an ice cream or do any activity without paparazzi following us.", explains Shakira.

Supposedly Shakira had a breakdown after the separation and she was hospitalized as a result.

Shakira's children have to deal with the separation of their parents

Shakira's children Sasha (7) and Milan (9) have to cope with the separation of their parents. The two ex-partners are now focused on the children's well-being.

Shakira is reluctant to talk about the breakup itself and her ex's current appearances with a new woman at his side:
