Will Smith got up on stage after Chris Rock was on stage to announce the Best Documentary category and was making jokes and one, in particular, about his wife Jada's bald head didn't sit well with the actor.
Smith is up for the Oscar for Best Actor at the 94th Academy Awards. Fans and viewers alike are seemingly confused and shocked about the events that took place between Will Smith and Chris Rock.
Chris Rock made a joke referring Jada Pinkett Smith to "G.I. Jane", referencing her bald head.
Will Smith Gets Heated Towards Chris Rock and Defends Jada
After Will walks up on stage and hits Chris Rock, Rock is stunned and Smith returns to his seat. In the video, you can see Will Smith mouth the words "leave my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth," after the Academy muted the sound during the exchange.
Chris Rock then proceeds to announce the nominations and winner for the Best Documentary category while seemingly still stunned about the events that took place.
