Mr. T was actually discovered by Sylvester Stallone in 1982 when he cast him in the role of "Clubber Lang" in the third part of the Rocky franchise. In 1990, Mr. T was battling lymph node cancer. His successful fight against the disease strengthened his bond with God and he since has become a born-again Christian and also works as a preacher.
Mr. T was in the very first "WrestleMania"
In 1985, he appeared in the very first "WrestleMania" together with Hulk Hogan. Ever since his breakthrough in the '80s, Mr. T has been appearing in TV shows in movies regularly. From 2011 until 2013, he had his own TV show called World's Craziest Fools. His most recent role was in 2014 in the TV show The Comeback Kids.

In 2017, he was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars and was eliminated in week 3. Mr. T has three children in total: two daughters, one of whom is a comedian, and a son with his ex-wife.
