Yoko Ono is highly passionate about conceptual art, she has also been working with Neo-Dadaism and avant-garde art groups such as Fluxus. As Lennon's widow, she has preserved his legacy in the past years; she funded, for instance, the Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland, and the John Lennon Museum in Japan, which is unfortunately now closed.

In 2019, Yoko Ono participated in New York's Lower Manhattan's River to River Festival, where she presented her installation Add Color (Refugee Boat) (1960/2019). The work features a white room with a rowing boat in it, covered by drawings and messages of people who have attended the festival over the past years!
