His last screen appearance was in 2016 with 'Wild Oats'. In September 2013 it was revealed he had undergone surgery for prostate cancer and was being treated for the "initial symptoms" of Parkinson's Disease. These days, he is far removed from the spotlight while he battles the symptoms of his condition.

Billy Connolly is an untouchable legend

"Every day it gets stranger and more different," Billy told 'The Times'. Connolly said that his newfound love for making drawings, painting and sculptures has helped him navigate the mental health toll of living with the condition.
