The Irish singer Sinead O'Connor died unexpectedly at the age of 56. Just a year before her death, the ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ singer had to deal with a devastating loss.
Her son passed away too young
In January 2022, her son Shane passed away after disappearing from a hospital. Sinéad confirmed the 17-year-old's suicide on Twitter and has since publicly mourned him.

A few days before her death, she posted another tribute to Shane on the platform.
"Been living as undead night creature since. He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul. We were one soul in two halves. He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally. I am lost in the bardo without him."
