Rod Serling: Narrator — Serling was the creator, narrator, and co-writer of the series. He co-wrote 92 out of the 156 episodes and narrated every single one. Serling started with a military career in 1943, signing up for WWII before starting his acting career in radio in 1946. His career took off in 1955, three years after he quit his job to begin freelance writing. He passed away on May 3, 1975 after having a heart attack. He was 50 years old.

 ‘The Twilight Zone’ was a science fiction horror television series created and narrated by Rod Serling. It first ran on October 2, 1959, on CBS and finished its fifth season on June 19, 1964. The show primarily presents standalone characters in peculiar scenarios described as entering “the Twilight Zone”.

'The Twilight Zone': The Cast Then and Now

Jack Gould, critic for the New York Times called the show "one of the high points in the TV medium's evolution."

The show won two out of three nominations to Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Writing Achievement in Drama, one Golden Globe Award for Best TV Producer, as well as being nominated for another five nominations for Outstanding Achievement in Art Directions and Scenic Design, Cinematography for Television, and Program Achievement in the Field of Drama.
