The news shocked people around the world: Bob Saget died on Jan. 9, 2022, in his hotel room in Orlando.
The Full House star was 65 years old and had been on the road with his stand-up comedy show I Don't Do Negative. Bob's last words to his family and to his fans were touching and full of love.
Bob Saget's last words: Message for his daughter Aubrey
On Instagram, Saget's daughter Aubrey posted a screenshot of the last text message she received from her father, sent just hours before his death. It said: "Thank u. Love u. Showtime!"
Saget was likely answering a previous message of support from Aubrey and referencing his show on the night of Jan. 8. The gig went great for Bob, because he then left the following message on Twitter:
"Loved tonight's show (at PV Concert Hall) in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to (Tom Wilkins) for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I'm happily addicted again to this shit."
He added a selfie on Instagram with the stage in the background and wrote that he felt like he was "back in comedy" like when he was 26 years old. "I guess I'm finding my new voice and loving every moment of it," Saget said.
Saget's widow Kelly Rizzo also spoke to him on the phone just hours before his death. A source told People that Saget sounded "so excited" and "really happy" in his final call with his wife.
Saget's cause of death hasn't yet been confirmed, but the latest TMZ report says police suspect he suffered a heart attack or stroke. There is currently no evidence of foul play or drugs.
An employee found Saget dead in his bed at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando, according to the initial police report cited by People. The worker was checking on Bob's well-being, as the Full House actor should have checked out by that time.

After Saget did not respond to repeated knocks, the employee gained access to his room and found him lying on his back in bed. "His left arm was across his chest while his right arm was resting on the bed," the report read.
Saget returned to the hotel alone after his show and immediately went to his room. The death of the 65-year-old is an indescribable loss for everyone who was close to him.
Bob had been married to Kelly Rizzo for over three years and had three daughters from a previous marriage: Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer.
His role as "Danny Tanner" on the popular sitcom Full House made people all over the world laugh. His series co-stars said goodbye to Bob with touching words online.
