On the latest episode of the podcast, Braff revisited the time he attended the premiere of Tom Hooper's Les Misérables film adaptation in 2012. It featured Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, and Anne Hathaway as some of the famous musical's leads.

But Braff got into trouble when he attempted to approach Hathaway after the screening. "I know Anne Hathaway as an acquaintance. I'm walking towards her to say congratulations," he began.

"Her father stands ups and gives me this look like: 'I'm going to kill this motherf---er. He's got the balls to crash my daughter's premiere? I'm going to strangle him!'"

But it turns out the potential for an A-list fight was only a misunderstanding - which was quickly resolved. Hathaway's father had mistaken Braff for his daughter's criminal ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri.

"I got within 10 feet of him and his face just f---ing broke, sighed with a breath of relief realizing it was me and not the ex-boyfriend," Braff said.

Braff claims that Eddie Murphy mistook him for Follieri in the past as well. And it seems he has a common face, because he's also drawn comparisons to Dax Shepard, Ray Romano, and Tom Cavanagh.
