Tiger Woods gave Justin Thomas a tampon after outdriving him. TMZ reports that Woods hit a ball 323 yards at the Genesis Invitational in L.A. on Feb. 16.
Thomas' drive fell about 20 yards short of Woods'. As the two golfers started to walk toward their balls, Woods handed Thomas a tampon.
After Thomas realized what he was holding, he dropped it on the ground. The two men then laughed and hugged. But Thomas ended up besting Woods that day, shooting 3-under 68, while Woods shot 2-under 69.
Tiger Woods criticized over "cringy" tampon stunt
While the two are notorious for trash talking with each other, Woods' tampon stunt has already received backlash online.
For the Win writer Charles Curtis wrote: "Is the joke here to 'stop playing like a girl'? Or that periods and tampons indicate weakness? It's not funny. I've seen too many people laughing at this. Do better. You too, Tiger."
