• Will Smith has been separated from Jada Pinkett since 2016
  • The couple have been put on blast after cheating revelations
  • THIS was Will's reaction to her new memoir

Jada Pinkett Smith’s memoir 'Worthy' is still a few days away from release, but it’s already been garnering a lot of attention as she has been promoting the book. Fans have been talking about some of the most explosive revelations that have already come out. She’s left people floored with the news that she and Will Smith have been leading separate lives for the past seven years, even going as far as to say that she was "shocked" when Smith referred to her as his wife during the infamous 2022 Oscar moment with Chris Rock.

The world couldn't help but take notice that Jada seemed to have no more love or respect for Will, constantly shaming his official status as her husband. Smith has been somewhat quiet as Pinkett Smith has continued to open up in a raw and candid manner. But the 'Men in Black' actor has finally ended his silence and given fans a glimpse into the inner workings of his and Pinkett Smith’s unconventional relationship.

Will speaks his mind now

According to TMZ, 'The Times' says they got an email response from Will, who apparently told them her new memoir "kind of woke him up." They go on to say, that he'd realized she is more "resilient, clever and compassionate than he'd understood." Then, in a direct quote, Will writes, "When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties." It's a little cryptic, but bottom line, he seems to back her.

But many fans are wondering why that is. Why won't he stand up for himself? Jada sat down on the 'Today' show and said this:

"I think by the time we got to 2016 we were just exhausted with trying," the actress said, referring to the state of their union. "I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."

"I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through whatever," she continued. "And I just haven’t been able to break that promise. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us," she explained to the outlet, adding that the couple is "still figuring it out."

Jada doesn't know where to go from here

And while the two still seemingly have a lot to work out, it seems like they are on good terms. Pinkett Smith revealed that she had an ayahuasca session a year after the Oscars Slap, and Smith was also present for this soul-searching event.

"You’ll have to cut off your spirit’s wrist to break free of our Divine handcuffs," he told Pinkett Smith as she was coming down from the substance, which is a plant-based psychedelic that has been used by First Nations peoples in ceremonial settings for centuries.

Also interesting:

The couple married in 1997 and have two kids, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22. Pinkett Smith is a stepmom to Smith’s son Trey, 30, as well. Pinkett Smith said she refrained from going public with the couple’s relationship status because they were "not ready."

All that being said, it sounds like Will doesn't mind what's been shared with the rest of the world, including the major news that they're no longer romantically involved, they live separate lives and that they refuse to get divorced...among many, many other secrets that have been dished.

It's unquestionable that Will and Jada's public images have taken a big hit, and many fans don't seem to keen on their movies. After the infamous Oscar slap, many producers turned their back on the couple who seem to be nothing but controversy these days.

Let's wait and see what new revelations come out soon...
