• Tom Ford is a fashion designer
  • His brand was founded in 2005
  • He slammed the Met Gala in a new interview

While most of us peasants would only dream of going to an event like the Met Gala, hosted by the one and only Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Tom Ford has other opinions.

Tom Ford mocks the Met and Katy Perry

Okay, you can stop bragging now Tom Ford! The longtime attendee of the highly prestigious and ultra-famous night of fashion and A-list celebs, the Met Gala, hasn't wowed the fashion designer for some time.

"It’s turned into a costume party," he said. What shade! Speaking with Amy Odell, an editor who is working on her book, a biography of Anna Wintour, Ford noted that it's not the chic event it once was.

He said the event "used to just be very chic people wearing very beautiful clothes going to an exhibition about the 18th century."

It's funny that Ford had such a negative perspective on the event, considering he is set to be the co-chair for this May. Along with Ford, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively will also be co-chairs.

Then, Ford also threw some shade toward Katy Perry, who famously wore a cheeseburger outfit created by Moschino and a chandelier for the red carpet.

"You didn’t have to look like the 18th century, you didn’t have to dress like a hamburger," he said to Odell. "You didn’t have to arrive in a van where you were standing up because you couldn’t sit down because you wore a chandelier."

Wow! Katy Perry may have not been named, but it was obvious he meant her! Perry hasn't responded to the comments as of yet.
