Although Mother's Day in the U.K. was celebrated on March 22nd, Meghan Markle took the opportunity to celebrate her first Mother's Day on the same day that the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan and several European countries take the time to celebrate all mothers.

Paying Tribute to Lady Diana

To start off the day, Meghan and Harry shared a precious picture of Archie's toes on Instagram with a touching tribute to Princess Diana. The image was taken at their home in Frogmore Cottage in Windsor and in the background was Lady Diana's favourite flowers, forget-me-nots.

Duchess Meghan spent her first Mother's Day at her home in Frogmore Cottage with her new son, her husband and her mother, Doria Ragland. Meghan and her mother are very close and she has been helping Meghan out with the first few days of parenting.

"Their home is incredible"

A friend of the couple tells People Magazine that "their home is incredible, there's so much space for them to be able to take walks with the baby and their dogs and not feel like they are being preyed upon - that was the big thing." They also mentioned how happy Meghan is at their new home compared to Kensington Palace. It appears that Meghan has a green thumb and has already set up a garden which she will be spending lots of time in this summer.

We are incredibly happy for the new family of three and we are looking forward to more updates from the Duke and Duchess themselves! Sending love and congratulations to the royal family always!
