Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas were introduced by Princess Eugenie in 2012 and had a two-year relationship that ended amicably in 2014. Many believed that the British socialite could have been the one walking down the aisle to marry Prince Harry, who was truly in love with her.
Bonas was actually really close to becoming the Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry reportedly never stopped talking about marriage and having kids with her when they were together as a couple. However, the relationship didn't work quite well after Bonas realized that she didn't want to marry the royal family, even though she was reportedly the "typical royal bride", and even though she is best friends with Prince William and Prince Harry's cousin, Princess Eugenie.
Cressida Bonas broke Prince Harry's heart in 2014
It was in 2014 when Cressida Bonas broke Prince Harry's heart and ended her relationship with him, but Prince Harry reportedly didn't want to end things: "He was in love with her and he tried to convince her they could make it work, but Cressida’s mind was made up," explained author Katie Nicholl in Harry: Life, Loss and Love; "she called the relationship off because she knew in her heart this wasn’t what she wanted", added Nicholl.
However, things between Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas ended up pretty well, and actually, she attended Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle in May 2018. A couple of months later, Bonas announced her engagement to Harry Wentworth-Stanley; it seems that her now-husband is not the only Harry in her life! The couple actually tied the knot in 2020. We are happy that things turned out well for both Prince Harry and Cressida, they both seem to have found love!
