The Swedish Royal Court also addressed the events. Margareta Thorgren, Chief Information Officer of the Swedish Royal Household, stated:
"Last night at 5pm, a man was outside the gates at Haga Castle and behaved differently. The guards, who are always on site, saw fit to call the police. 'The police arrived and arrested the man, and thus it is a police matter."
It remains unclear whether the royal family was present at the time.

The day was particularly difficult for the Swedish royal family, as King Carl Gustaf had to announce the death of his sister Birgitta. She passed away at the age of 87 after suffering a serious fall that resulted in multiple injuries.
