Meghan & Harry Are Back: The Biggest Allegations and Revelations Surrounding the Couple

The return of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan to the United Kingdom is not only drawing new attention but also reigniting old tensions. Since stepping back from the inner circle of the royal family, both have leveled serious accusations against the royal family in interviews, a Netflix documentary, and Harry’s memoir.

Now these very statements are once again taking center stage. What makes this particularly explosive is that, despite the deep rift with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William, Harry had previously emphasized that he hoped for reconciliation within the family.

Among the most serious revelations is Meghan’s account from the 2021 Oprah interview. According to her, during her pregnancy with Archie, there were “concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born.” The couple did not name the individuals involved. At the time, the statement prompted a rare public response from Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan's mental health also came up: She said that, at times, she no longer wanted to live because of the enormous pressure and her isolation, and that she did not receive adequate support from the palace.

In his book 'Spare', Prince Harry described a heated argument with Prince William that took place in 2019 at Nottingham Cottage. According to the book, William described Meghan as “difficult,” “rude,” and “harsh.” The situation then escalated.

Harry wrote that his brother had grabbed him by the collar, ripped his necklace, and shoved him to the ground. In the process, he fell onto a dog bowl, which broke. This incident is one of the events that have particularly strained the brothers’ relationship and continue to have an impact to this day.

In addition to family conflicts, Harry also leveled accusations against the communication structures within the palace. In the Netflix series, he explained that offices within the royal household had deliberately planted or passed on stories to protect other family members. This also included the allegation that negative reports about the Sussexes had been used to overshadow unfavorable headlines about William and Kate.

Added to this was Meghan's account of the bridesmaid dress dispute leading up to the 2018 wedding. Contrary to what earlier headlines claimed, it wasn't Meghan who made Kate cry, but the other way around.

Other sensitive issues involve King Charles and Queen Camilla. Harry revealed publicly that he and William had once asked their father not to marry Camilla. They feared she might become a “wicked stepmother,” Prince Harry said, according to the British Express.

Harry also described the family gathering in Sandringham in January 2020 as extremely tense. He said the terms of the Sussexes’ withdrawal were discussed there, during which William yelled at him. With their current return to the United Kingdom, all these conflicts have resurfaced.
