For many, going to see The Nutcracker Ballet during the holiday season is a tradition. But for The Duchess of Cambridge and her daughter Princess Charlotte, a pre-rehearsal performance of The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House is something very special.

A mother-daughter date

According to People, Kate took Charlotte to the performance last week without Prince George and Prince Louis. This special mother-daughter outing is sure to be one to remember for little Charlotte.  It is unclear on whether or not the Duchess and the Princess had the entire auditorium to themselves as neither the Palace nor the Royal Opera House will comment on the outing.

Who wouldn't want the Queen helping one decorate one's tree?

As the pair got into the holiday spirit, we can see that Princess Charlotte's love for dance is being encouraged by her parents. We cannot know for sure exactly how the Princess is expressing her love for dance, but getting to see The Nutcracker live is definitely one way to inspire her!
