Princess Kate made an unusually personal connection with local residents during an engagement in Pulborough. To mark the anniversary of the “West Sussex Minibus” project, the 44-year-old helped with a pickup run for elderly residents on Wednesday morning. Among other things, she found herself at the front door of 94-year-old Stella Drewett and helped her onto the minibus. The Princess of Wales then accompanied the group on their route through the West Sussex countryside, traveling with the senior residents to the Village Hall for lunch.

The visit was more than a quick photo opportunity. Every week, around 50 older residents from the area gather for lunch at Pulborough Village Hall. The menu featured sweet potato and bell pepper soup, bread, and cheese. Kate also asked for salted potato chips.

During the gathering, she took time to chat with the guests, joked with them, and even spent some time in the kitchen. According to reports, she personally helped with the morning pickups before accompanying the passengers on their route through the community.

Kate and William Share the Dishes at Home

During conversations at the community hall, the princess also offered a rare glimpse into her daily life with Prince William. “I love doing the dishes. I really do,” Kate said, according to Gala.

When asked about the division of household chores, she explained that her husband takes care of drying the dishes. What started as a conversation about lunch therefore turned into a glimpse into the Wales family’s kitchen. Kate and William apparently share the housework and have a set routine when it comes to doing the dishes.

George, Charlotte, and Louis Pitch In Around the House

The parents aren’t the only ones who help with household chores. Kate also said that George, Charlotte, and Louis pitch in. For the three children, helping around the house is apparently part of their family routine. George is 13, Charlotte is 11, and Louis is 8.

Speaking in Pulborough, the Princess of Wales discussed not only her own role in the kitchen but also how she and William are raising their children. She emphasized that household chores should be done together and that children should be involved from an early age.

A Visit to Pulborough Offered a Glimpse Into Family Life

The Waleses rarely discuss their private routines in detail, making Kate’s comments in West Sussex particularly noteworthy. During the visit, she spoke openly about everything from helping local residents to sharing household chores with William and involving their children in everyday tasks.

What began as a local community engagement ultimately offered an unusual glimpse into the family’s daily routines at home.
