Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry recently made their first joint public appearance in Nottingham since returning to the United Kingdom. During their visit to the Community Recording Studio, Meghan chatted with schoolchildren about their hobbies, confidence, and the activities that make them happy.
The conversation also offered a rare glimpse into her daughter Lilibet's everyday life. As it turns out, the five-year-old has developed a passion for a sport that is already popular among her royal relatives, including her cousin Princess Charlotte.
Meghan Reveals Lilibet's Favorite Sport
While speaking with children during a workshop focused on building self-confidence, Meghan asked when they felt most comfortable being themselves.
When one child mentioned gymnastics, the Duchess shared a sweet detail about her own daughter.
"My daughter's doing gymnastics right now.She loves it," Meghan said, according to the British Express.
Lilibet, who grew up in California alongside her older brother Archie before the family's reported move to England, has apparently discovered a love for the sport.
Princess Charlotte Shares the Same Passion
Interestingly, Lilibet isn't the only young royal who enjoys gymnastics.
Princess Charlotte, the daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate, has also shown a strong interest in the sport.
During the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer, William reportedly spoke about Charlotte's enthusiasm for gymnastics and ballet. According to the Express, she even received a signed leotard from Team Wales.
It seems the royal cousins already have at least one hobby in common!
Prince Louis Is Also Trying His Hand at Gymnastics
Charlotte's younger brother, Prince Louis, has also been practicing his gymnastics skills.
Princess Kate previously revealed that Louis enjoys doing gymnastics at home and has been working on mastering a handstand.
However, Charlotte apparently isn't too impressed with her little brother's progress just yet. According to Woman & Home, Louis once revealed that his sister didn't think he was particularly good at it.
While George, Charlotte, and Louis met Archie when he was a baby in 2019, Lilibet has reportedly yet to meet her British cousins. No reunion during the Sussex family's latest visit has been publicly confirmed.
Will the Royal Cousins Reunite Soon?
Public appearances bringing the Sussexes and Waleses together have become increasingly rare, with the two families last seen together publicly in 2022.
For years, the children have grown up on opposite sides of the Atlantic, with George, Charlotte, and Louis in the United Kingdom and Archie and Lilibet in California.
Now that Harry and Meghan have reportedly returned to Britain, royal watchers may be wondering whether the cousins will finally have an opportunity to spend time together.
And if they do, gymnastics could be the perfect activity for Charlotte and Lilibet to bond over!
