Duchess Meghan was visiting one of her new royal patronages, the animal charity Mayhew on Wednesday, when Peggy McEachrom gave the expecting mother-to-be quite the bold compliment. According to People, Peggy McEachrom who is originally from Jamaica said to the Duchess, "what a lovely lady you are, may God bless you. And you're a fat lady!"
"I'll take it!" Says the Duchess
Meghan Markle immediately laughed at the comment and responded to her with "I'll take it!". Her answer could not have been better. Obviously the comment was directed at her growing belly, but the way the comment came out definitely warranted some laughter and a brilliant response from the Duchess herself.
Peggy went on to say that she thinks Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are going to welcome a son and that she was glad to see her doing so well. Definitely a moment to remember while visiting one of her royal patronages for the first time!
