Both Kate and Meghan really were true style icons in 2018 and we simply can't decide who we admire more! We've put together an ensemble (get it?!) of the two Duchesses' best looks of the past year and what better way to kick of this royal fashion extravaganza than with Meghan's absolutely gorgeous Stella McCartney wedding dress, which she wore to her wedding reception.

Keeping the wedding theme going, the Duchess of Sussex also looked stylish as a wedding guest, when she attended Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks's wedding along with her husband Harry, wearing a Club Monaco pleated dress in navy, baby pink, white and dark green.

Kate also scrubs up fantastically well for official family events and looked beautiful in an ivory coloured dress at Prince Louis's christening.

Always Dazzling

The Duchess of Cambridge also knows how to rock a formal gown. Kate dazzled in an embellished off-white gown by Jenny Packham, her favourite pair of pearl earrings and Princess Diana's tiara at the annual Diplomatic Reception held at Buckingham Palace earlier this month.

At another formal dinner, this time in Tonga (Harry and Meghan visited the island earlier this year as part of their tour of Australia and New Zealand), the Duchess of Sussex wowed in an elegant in a white, beaded gown by Theia.

The Duchess of Sussex pulled out all the stops for the Trooping the Colour festivities opting for a pale pink off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress and matching hat by Philip Treacy.

Kate also knows that colour is sometimes her friend. The Duchess of Cambridge looked beautiful in a bright yellow fitted Dolce & Gabbana number.

Catherine also looked spectacular this autumn when she wore an off-the-shoulder dress from Erdem's Spring Summer collection to visit the new  V&A Photography Centre at the Victoria & Albert Museum, of which she is patron.

Pregnant and Stunning

Meghan showed us all how to look dazzling even when pregnant when she surprised guests at the British Fashion Awards earlier this month. She wore a one-shouldered black Givenchy gown, paired with a sleek bun and black nail varnish.

She also took maternity evening wear to the next level when she attended the Royal Variety Performance 2018 at the London Palladium with Prince Harry wearing an elegant sleeveless black and white sequin co-ord set by British designer Safiyaaa.

And Kate finished off her year's public appointments in style, wearing a dark green polka dot dress by L.K.Bennett as she visited Evelina London Children's Hospital with Prince William last week.
