September 8 marks the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's death. The royals pay tribute to the late monarch. However, Harry, William and Kate do so separately, although Harry is back in his old home country.

As a spokesperson for Harry confirmed to 'People', he visited the Queen's grave in St. George's Chapel in Windsor. This private gesture took place away from the public eye. Harry, who traveled without his wife Meghan and their children, took the opportunity to lay flowers and remember his grandmother.

A journey full of memories

St. George's Chapel has special significance for Prince Harry, as he married Meghan there in 2018. He also returned to the site in 2023 to commemorate the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's death. The Duke of Sussex is currently in the UK to attend the WellChild Awards, a charity event close to his heart.

Tensions in the royal family

Even though Harry is in the UK, his relationship with his father, King Charles, remains strained. Father and son have not seen each other in person for more than 18 months due to legal disputes over Harry's security arrangements in the UK.

The possibility of a meeting during his stay remains uncertain, as King Charles and Queen Camilla are spending the day privately at Balmoral. According to 'People', brothers William and Harry have also not planned a meeting as their schedules do not coincide.

William and Kate pay tribute to the Queen

While Harry remembered his grandmother in silence, William and Kate paid tribute to the Queen at a public event. They visited the Women's Institute in Sunningdale, Berkshire. This gesture was particularly meaningful as Queen Elizabeth was a dedicated member of the organization for over 80 years and served as president until her death in 2022. Kate was not originally expected to make the appearance, creating a huge surprise.

The royals also remembered their monarch on Instagram. A picture of her with a beaming smile was simply captioned: "Remembering Queen Elizabeth II, 1926-2022".
