Zara Tindall has appeared in a light-hearted new video shared by husband Mike Tindall as he promoted his next charity ski trip to Austria. In the Instagram post, the former rugby player announced plans to return to Obergurgl in January 2027 for Mikey’s Mountain Miles, a fundraiser supporting spinal cord research charity Wings For Life. The footage showed Princess Anne’s daughter dressed in traditional Bavarian clothing, complete with braided hair, as she joined in with yodelling during an Austrian-themed party segment tied to the trip.

According to Daily Mail, Mike said the trip itinerary "includes a lederhosen and dirndls" party, with the video cutting to Zara in a fitted dirndl-style outfit with a blouse, apron and full skirt. He also described the social side of the getaway, saying "Austrian night always leads to many laughs," according to Daily Mail. The event is scheduled for January 26 to January 30, 2027, and includes five days of skiing, a stay at a four-star Alpine resort, themed dinners, entertainment and meals as part of the package.

The clip offered a rare comic glimpse of Zara, a former Olympian, away from the equestrian circuit. She was seen yodelling beside an accordion player, leaning into the festive mood of the evening. Her appearance matched the Alpine theme Mike used to promote the fundraiser, which is set to raise money for spinal injury research. Individual places are priced at £6,250, while four-person bookings cost £25,000. Mike said proceeds from the trip will go toward the charity’s work, adding a serious purpose to the cheerful footage.
Texas Night Out Added to a Busy Year
The post arrives after another lively public outing for the couple in the United States. Zara and Mike were recently pictured during a night out in Texas, where they visited Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth and took turns on a mechanical bull. Zara swapped her usual polished race-day wardrobe for a white T-shirt, dark jeans and a black cowboy hat. The pair had also started the year with their regular trip to Australia for the Magic Millions polo and showjumping gathering, keeping up a packed social and sporting calendar.
Zara’s Royal Role Still Looks Unchanged
Despite regular public interest in whether Zara could one day take on more formal duties, her position within the royal family appears steady. She and Mike are not working royals, and that arrangement allows them to maintain commercial partnerships and independent projects. Away from social appearances, Zara has also returned to competition, taking part this month in the Barefoot Retreats Burnham Market International Horse Trials in Norfolk. She was also recently seen with a small black cocker spaniel, prompting online talk about a possible new dog in the Tindall household.
