The holiday season can be a busy one for everyone, so winding down at the movies is a perfect way to relax and rejuvenate while seeing a new release on the big screen! We have put together a list of the thirteen movies to hit a theatre near you this holiday season, with their release date of course! One of them is of course a Christmas movie, while the others are a good mix from action, to comedy to drama. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show...

Dr. Seuss' The Grinch- In theatres since November 8th. Voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, this holiday classic is sure to give you all the feels!

The Mule- December 14th. Starring Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper, this film is about a senior citizen caught smuggling $3 million in cocaine for a Mexican cartel. The script is based on a true story. 

Mortal Engines- December 14th. Based on the steampunk novel by Philip Reeve, this sci-fi fantasy adventure is about outlaws leading a rebellion against a predatory city on wheels... 

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse- December 14th. Available in 3D, this animated movie tells the story of Spider-Man who trains a teen from Brooklyn on how to be a superhero. 

Mary Poppins Returns- December 19th. More than 50 years later and we still can't get enough of the magical nanny! This family-friendly sequel to the famous Disney classic stars Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Welcome to Marwen- December 21st. Based on a true story, this fantasy movie starring Steve Carrell is about a man named Mark who loses his memory in an accident. While recovering, his imagination seems to help him along the way...

Second Act- December 21st. This classic rom-com stars Jennifer Lopez in a film about a 40-year-old woman who gets the chance to reinvent her life. Will she take it? 

Bumblebee- December 21st. Part of the Transformers series, this sci-fi action movie is set in 1987 when a girl named Charlie (played by Hailee Steinfeld) discovers Bumblebee (the Transformer) in a junkyard. 

Aquaman- December 21st. In this DC Comics movie, Jason Momoa rules the underwater Atlantis and has to fight to protect the sea. 

Holmes and Watson- December 25th. Starring Will Ferrell and Ralph Fiennes, this crime-solving adventure with Sherlock Holmes is sure to have you laughing!

Destroyer- December 25th. This dark crime movie stars Nicole Kidman and is about a police detective who tries to make right with things from her past. 

On the Basis of Sex- December 25th. Starring Felicity Jones playing the iconic Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Tackling gender discrimination, this film marks 25 years on the bench for the second female ever appointed to the court. 

Vice- December 25th. A political satire by Adam McKay, starring Christian Bale who shaved his head and gained 40 pounds for the role, Vice is a movie about Dick Cheney.
