• Elf is a classic Christmas movie
  • It stars Will Ferrell
  • Here's why we love "Buddy the Elf"!

Will Ferrell stars in the 2003 film Elf alongside Zooey Deschanel as "Jovie." "Buddy" has the ability to bring Christmas cheer wherever he goes. Even though people in New York find him strange at first in his elf costume, once you get to know him, he has the power to make everyone he meets feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Here are the reasons we love him so much!

This is why we love "Buddy" from Elf so much:

1 - He doesn't care what people think about him. "Buddy" just goes about his life and his business as if he doesn't have a care in the world! "I just like to smile; smiling's my favourite," is one of his best lines.

2 - "Buddy" finds joy in the simple little things. For example, this can be seen when he says "so, good news... I saw a dog today." (It also helps that he's a dog lover!)

3 - He is always trying to make everyone happy. "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear," are the wise words of "Buddy" himself.

4 - We love his hilarious diet: "We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup." Maybe all that sugar is what keeps him so happy...

Of course, "Buddy" has such a big love for Christmas and Santa that in turn inspires everyone around him to be a little more jolly around the holiday season. Will Ferrell plays the role of "Buddy" absolutely perfectly, and if you haven't already seen this holiday classic...
