It looks like The Ellen Show isn't going anywhere anytime soon and fans everywhere are ecstatic! During Tuesday's show taping, she revealed the exciting news by saying, "OK, so I have been doing this show for 16 years. That's about 3,000 episodes. I don't remember them, but I'm told it was enjoyable. And when we started, that was before Instagram, before YouTube, we were young, we were bored out of our minds, and from the beginning, I said that his show was going to be like a relationship."

"Signed on for three more years"

Ellen then continued, "We have been through the good, the bad, the 50 Shades of Grey phase, and it's been a lot of fun. And 16 years is a pretty good run. Sometimes in a relationship you need to take a break, but I don't, you're stuck with me, because I just signed on for three more years."

Ellen explained to her audience that she didn't know what this show would mean for her when she started and that it has helped her through some pretty tough times, especially after her career suffered when she came out.

Portia wanted her to end the show

Back in December, fans were concerned that the end of the road for Ellen and her show would soon be approaching after she did an interview with the New York Times. Her wife, Portia de Rossi, advised her to end the show to take more time for herself, while her brother advised her to keep doing the show as long as Donald Trump is President of the United States.

We are so excited for Ellen and so grateful that kindness and positivity will continue to be spread everyday through The Ellen DeGeneres Show for three more years. Congratulations, Ellen!
