The Law & Order crossover is slated to last three hours and air on September 22 in the US. Producer Dick Wolf (75) proudly announced in a statement according to Deadline:

"Nothing demonstrates the power of the 'Law & Order' brand more than an ambitious three-hour event with a story that is truly ripped from the headlines that starts on 'Organized Crime', then migrates to 'SVU' and finally the trial on 'Law & Order'."

"This unprecedented scheduling block is a tribute to all the Law & Order fans who’ve been watching this iconic brand for four decades on NBC", according to NBC board member Lisa Katz.

That's what the Law & Order mega event is all about

The Law & Order mega event begins with the murder of a girl that detectives "Frank Cosgrove" and "Jalen Shaw" want to solve.

When it becomes clear that this is no ordinary case, "Captain Olivia Benson" and "Detective Elliot Stabler" become involved.

"Jack McCoy" and ADA "Nolan Price" also arrive and want to investigate an international criminal circle, but not everything goes according to plan.

If that doesn't sound like a promising three hours of Law & Order, we don't know what does!
