Every year since 1992, the MTV Movie & TV Awards, given by the television channel MTV, are in charge of rewarding the best of the television and film industry! The winners of these awards are decided by the public over the internet. Since its inception, actors such as Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Uma Thurman, Will Smith, Bradley Cooper, Emma Watson or Shailene Woodley, have been some of those who have been recognized in these awards.

Originally these awards only recognized the best of cinema; However, since 2007 that changed to also reward the best of television, which also generated a change in its name to attract a larger audience.
