Pauley Perrette, who played the fan favourite character "Abby" on NCIS for 15 seasons, announced her exit from the show in early 2018. Since her exit, Diona Reasonover has starred as "Kasie Hines", a graduate student turned scientist. After being cast in this elevated role, Reasonover did not want to feel like a replacement, but rather create her own role within the show.

Being known for her roles in the movies The Clapper and The Standoff, as well as television roles in 2 Broke Girls and Grace & Frankie, Reasonover has been able to bring out some of her charm and wit in her role as "Kasie" in NCIS. Through this, she is winning over NCIS fans left, right and centre. According to the New York Post, she even has fans coming up to her saying that they didn't know how they were going to feel about her, but they like her.
During her first season, fans found out more about "Kasie's" character and back story through an emotional impact that results from a murder and an abandoned newborn baby...
