Top 10 Series Starring The Talented Jennifer Aniston

'Molloy' (1990) — ‘Molloy’ is where it all started for Aniston, both in film and in TV shows. Although the series only lasted for seven episodes, it gave Aniston a chance in the film industry as a self-absorbed teenager who would be the new half-sister of 11-year-old Molloy, whose mother had just passed away.

'Herman’s Head' (1992) — Although Aniston only showed up in two episodes it was one of the shows that helped her achieve her more known roles later on. The series went on for three seasons before receiving negative reviews and being canceled.

'Ferris Bueller' (1990) — A series based on the film ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ (1986). It was canceled during its first season with only 13 episodes aired. One of the main reasons it had poor reception was probably that it did not follow the original work’s concept and tried to create a “real-life” situation of what happens in the film. Aniston plays the main character’s sister as they go about their normal lives in Ocean Park High School.

'The Edge' (1993) — This is one of those series that is a bit more bizarre than the rest that Aniston played a part in. The series revolves around original characters in a mixture of pop culture events, as well as killing off the entire cast in various gruesome ways.

'Muddling Through' (1994) — The sitcom, starring Jennifer Aniston, was a CBS program with only 6 episodes, starting from July 1994 to September 1994. The reason the show only had six episodes has to do directly with the start of ‘Friends’. According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, Preston Beckman, who was in charge of scheduling for NBC had to “kill” the show to free Aniston up. “When we picked up Friends, Jennifer Aniston was in second position. She was on a CBS comedy, Muddling Through, and they had six episodes of it. We heard that they were putting the show on Saturday nights while we were in a current meeting. I remember [NBC entertainment chief] Warren Littlefield turns to me and said, ‘Kill it!’ So I did.”

'Friends' (1994-2004) — It is almost impossible to never have at least heard of this legendary series nominated for 62 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning six of these, of those six, five were for Outstanding Comedy, and one was awarded to Aniston for main actor. Besides her Emmy, she also won a Golden Globe Award, one Screen Actors Guild Award, and six People’s Choice Awards. The series had an average viewer count of 23.67 million viewers and still generates revenues of approximately $1 billion each year, which translates into $20 million for each of the actors.

'Dirt' (2007) — Curiously enough, Courtney Cox was the first choice as “Rachel” on ‘Friends’, a role that was played by Aniston. However, Cox said she preferred a different role and so Aniston got “Rachel”. Later on, the two worked together again, and this time Cox got the lead role in Dirt.

'The Morning Show' (2019-present) — Excluding her movies, after ‘Friends’, many found that ‘The Morning Show’ is one of Aniston’s best works. Most of the series’ episodes have a rating between 8 and 10 stars. The show follows how Aniston (“Alex Levy”) tries to keep her job as a TV anchor after the main news anchor was fired for inappropriate sexual misconduct.

'Friends: The Reunion' (2021) — We, of course, have to include the reunion of the original actors who caused such a stir in a period from the 90s to the 00s. Even though it is just one episode it had mostly positive reviews and is definitely a must-watch for fans of the show.
