The Batman, the first in what is to be a trilogy of new Batman films, began production this week. The film's director, Matt Reeves, celebrated the occasion by informing his Twitter followers of the news. He tweeted a photo of a special The Batman clapperboard along with the hashtag "Day One."

When You Can Expect To See The Batman

The Batman is scheduled for a June 2021 release. It will star Robert Pattinson as "Batman," as well as Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, and Zoë Kravitz as other characters in the "Batman" universe.

The film has received hype surrounding the casting of Pattinson as "Batman" and the expectation that it will be a noir-style detective film.
