'The Big Bang Theory' Cast: Through The Years

The Big Bang Theory is one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. From its release in late 2007 until its finale in 2019, the show revolved around the lives of "Sheldon," "Leonard," "Penny," "Raj" and "Howard". At one point, the cast even ended up making nearly $1 million per episode. Kaley Cuoco played the role of "Penny" in The Big Bang Theory. "Penny" shows the nerdy group what life should really be like outside of science and teaches them a few valuable lessons. She also becomes "Leonard's" girlfriend and they later get married in season 9.

Recently Kaley Cuoco, along with the rest of the cast, finished their time on The Big Bang Theory with season 12, which concluded in May 2019. In 2015, Cuoco was the voice of "Eleanor" in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. She is married to equestrian Karl Cook, the couple tied the knot in 2018. She currently voices the lead role in the animated Harley Quinn series and stars in HBO Max's The Flight Attendant.

Parsons played "Sheldon Cooper" in The Big Bang Theory. "Sheldon" is portrayed as the nerdiest of the group with an IQ of 187.

In 2013, Parsons won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. In 2017, he married his long-time partner, Todd Spiewak. Recently, Parsons starred as "Larry Simpson" in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and acted in the 2020 film adaptation of Boys in the Band.

"Galecki" played "Leonard Hofstadter," an experimental physicist who is "Sheldon's" best friend. He regularly has to justify "Sheldon's" eccentric behaviour to strangers.

Johnny Galecki, also known as "Leonard," was in a relationship with Sara Gilbert from 1992 until 1993. Shortly after, he was married to singer and songwriter Linda Perry. Galecki was even involved with co-star Kaley Cuoco ("Penny") from 2007 until 2009. He was dating Alaina Meyer and the couple had their first child in December 2019, but they broke in late 2020. Aside from The Big Bang Theory, his most recent role was on ABC's The Conners in 2019.

Helberg played the role of "Howard Wolowitz". "Howard" is an aerospace engineer desperate to find a girlfriend until he finally meets "Bernadette" who he later marries.

In 2007, Helberg married actress Jocelyn Towne, with whom he now shares two children. As far as showbiz is concerned, Helberg has not had any major roles in films or series since The Big Bang Theory except for Florence Foster Jenkins, in which he played "Cosme McMoon."

Nayyar played the role of "Rajesh Koothrappali," an astrophysicist and "Howard's" best friend. For the first six seasons "Rajesh" had a social anxiety which did not allow him to talk to women unless he had drunk alcohol.
