There is no doubt that one of the most emotional moments of the series was the funeral of "Elizabeth" in season 3. At the time we did not know that she had faked her death and we lived with "Aram" the pain of having lost her.

In season 8, we fans suffered the real death of "Elizabeth". Although "Reddington", "Mr. Kaplan" and many others tried to protect her, she finally dies in the season finale after being shot in the back.

A secret can break even the strongest relationships and that happened with "Dembe" and "Reddington". "Dembe" kept it from "Reddington" that "Elizabeth" was to blame for his arrest. Eventually "Reddington" forgave "Dembe" and although their friendship eventually continued, seeing them separated for so long was painful.

"Dembe" was always a favorite of the series and clearly we all suffered the heartbreak when "Matias Solomon" kidnapped his daughter. It was even more shocking to see "Dembe" fight with everything to save a girl whose identity he didn't know only to discover that it was his own granddaughter.

Before becoming "Reddington's" confidant (and taking the alias), "Mr. Kaplan" was called "Kate". In season 4 we meet one of the saddest episodes in "Kaplan's" life. She and the love of her life, "Annie", are shot. "Annie" sadly dies.

One of the great tragedies off and on screen was the death of actor Clark Middleton. As a tribute to the actor and his character, in season 8 we see an episode in which "Reddington" and "Dembe" visit "Glen's" mother, who informs them that he died of West Nile virus, the same cause of death of the actor.

One of the moments that struck us most as an audience was when "Reddington", in an impulse because he felt betrayed, attacks "Mr. Kaplan". "Kaplan" makes him believe that "Elizabeth" is dead and he is hurt; miraculously, despite "Reddington" shooting him in the head, "Mr. Kaplan" manages to survive.

Although she did not die at the hands of "Reddington", we all felt the death of "Mr. Kaplan" in season 4. She takes her own life in a last attempt to expose the truth about "Reddington", to whom she devoted her whole life and yet he tried to kill her.

After actor Mozhan Marno's departure from the series was announced, fans wondered what they would do with the character as we all loved the chemistry between "Aram" and "Samar". When finally the star couple had decided to take the next step, we had to say goodbye to "Aram". "Samar" decides to accept "Reddington's" help and leave the country to try to save his life.

Despite being one of the first shocking moments of the series, the arrest of "Reddington" after turning himself in to the FBI was one of the best of the series. By season, we get to understand "Reddington's" motives, which is protecting "Elizabeth".
'The Blacklist' told the story of "Raymond 'Red' Reddington," a former U.S. Navy officer who becomes a high-profile criminal, and of course, one of the FBI's most wanted people.
With this premise, it is not surprising that the series did not tempt its heart by killing off several of the audience's favorite characters. Let's see which deaths and moments shocked and moved us the most.
