Tom Wopat, better known as "Luke Duke", was one of the two lead actors. Together with his cousin "Bo", "Luke" constantly stirs up trouble and almost always barely escapes the County Commissioner "Boss Hogg" and his henchmen.

By now, Tom Wopat is in his 70s, but there's no retirement in sight. The actor and singer was featured on the sitcom Cybill after The Dukes of Hazzard ended. Fortunately, Tom Wopat is still working in show business. These days, you will probably find him on a Broadway stage rather than in front of a camera though!

The second member of the dynamic duo in The Dukes of Hazzard is John Schneider, who played "Bo Duke." He was always sitting next to his cousin "Luke" in their car, which they call the "General Lee." The two handsome actors somehow always managed to get away!

John Schneider is still highly successful in the entertainment business. In 2016, he was featured in the horror film Exit 14. Besides his acting career, "Bo" also spearheads some great charity organizations. For instance, the Hollywood star founded a company called FaithWorks Productions in 1995.

She's by far the most important woman in The Dukes of Hazzard: "Daisy Duke", who was played by the gorgeous Catherine Bach. She lives next to "Luke", "Bo" and "Uncle Jesse" on a farm, working at the local watering hole, "Boar's Nest". This is also the location of several bar fights and an important location for the show.

Catherine Bach started making waves in the fashion business after the show ended. Even today, "Daisy-Duke-Jeans" are still well known, referring to the very short and cropped jean shorts "Daisy" always wore in the show. From 1991 until 2010 the popular actress was married to the late actor and hotshot lawyer Peter Lopez (†61) with whom she has two daughters.

After the second season ended in 1985, there were two more reunion movies in the following years: The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion! in 1997, and in 2000 The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood. In addition, there have been two spin-off series: Enos and The Dukes.

"Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane", embodied by James Best, was the County Commissioner "Boss Hogg's" top stooge. His dog "Flash" was always at "Sheriff Rosco's" side. "Rosco" was also the one who always chased "Luke" and "Bo Duke" around the county in his police car.

James Best died in 2015 at the age of 88 from pneumonia. Until he died, Best constantly worked as an actor and a lecturer - mostly for acting classes - as well. James was married three times and had two daughters and also one son.
