'The Goonies' Cast: Where Are They Now?

Here comes a childhood classic! The Goonies, written by Chris Columbus, was first released in 1985. The story revolves around a group of teenagers who, due to the expanding country club in their area and a foreseeable eviction from their homes, gather together to spend one last weekend together in their home town Goon Docks in the Astoria area of Oregon.

"Mikey", played by Sean Astin, is the leader of the group of kids as they search for the famous treasure of the pirate "One-Eyed Willy". He is often seen sticking up for the little guy, for instance, "Chunk" when he is getting harassed by the other group members.

Sean Astin's acting debut was in the movie The Goonies back in 1985 at the age of 13. He later moved on to star in several other movies such as The B.R.A.T. Patrol, White Water Summer, Toy Soldiers and Encino Man in the early stages of his acting career. By far his biggest success was in The Lord Of The Rings franchise in which he played the role of "Samwise Gamgee". He made a comeback on Netflix's Stranger Things in 2017 and has also been in the miniseries Wayward Guide (2020). His more recent works are in the 2021 film Hero Mode and Man & Witch, which is currently in the production stages.

"Brand," played by Josh Brolin, is "Mikey's" older brother and is seen dating fellow group member "Andy".

Josh Brolin started his career in TV by guest starring in several different TV shows before landing his first big role in The Goonies in 1985. He later moved on to star in movies like Grindhouse and Nightwatch before landing hit roles in movies like No Country For Old Men (2007), American Gangster (2007), W. (2008) and Milk (2008). Brolin's more recent roles have been in blockbusters like Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2 and Avengers: Endgame (2019). He was last seen on the big screen in the 2021 film Dune.

"Andy," played by Kerri Green, is a cheerleader from the gang's hometown of Astoria in Oregon. Loud-mouthed and somewhat self-centered, she is convinced by "Mikey" to go with the gang to search for "Willy's" treasure.

Kerri Green moved on to receive critical acclaim for her role in the movie Lucas starring alongside Charlie Sheen and Corey Haim. She also had a string of guest roles in shows like In The Heat Of The Night, Murder, She Wrote, E.R., and Law & Order: SVU.

"Mouth," who is played by Corey Feldman, is one of the original Goonies and is one of the protagonists of the film alongside "Mikey". He got his nickname "Mouth" because he is in fact a smart "Mouth". Throughout the movie, it is shown that he has secret feelings for "Stef".

After his role in The Goonies, Corey Feldman moved on to star in Stand By Me, The Lost Boys, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. What followed afterwards was a long string of guest roles and music video appearances. In 2015, he starred in the Hollywood blockbuster spoof Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! Since then, Feldman has done some voiceover work for movies and shows, as well as starring in the 2020 horror film Tales from the Dead Zone.

"Lawrence 'Chunk' Cohen," played by Jeff Cohen, is a chronic liar and definitely the prankster in the group. He is most known for his famous little dance called the "Truffle Shuffle".
