There's a part two. Nicholas Sparks' book 'The Wedding' was published in 2003 as a sequel to 'The Notebook'. Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling won The MTV Award for Best Kiss and forever changed how the award is accepted. The film has also made its adaptation to the stage featuring in shows in Chicago since 2020.

A classic by all accounts

"Allie" has a much larger role in the movie than she does in the book. The book is mostly from "Noah's" perspective. The movie was filmed in reverse.

All the older "Allie" and "Noah" scenes were filmed first! Ryan Gosling wanted to burn the house that he restored in the film. He thought it would be fitting if "Noah" lit the house aflame...
