The Young and the Restless "J.T." first appeared on the show in August of 1999. Holding a reoccurring role until 2010 and then returning in 2017 until his final departure in 2019, American actor Thad Luckinbill quickly became a staple of the show.
Thad, who was just 24-years-old when he began playing "J.T.", was a relative newcomer to show business, having only appeared in one series, Undressed, before landing the part.
The Young and the Restless "J.T."
Young and the Restless "J.T. Hellstrom" is first introduced as "Billy Abbott's" high school friend. "J.T." quickly develops a reputation as a ladies' man, dating a number of the show's characters including:
- "Rianna Miner"
- "Colleen Carlton"
- "Brittany Hodges"
- "Mackenzie Browning"
- and eventually his on and off again wife, "Victoria Newman" played by Amelia Heinle.
"J.T.'s" womanizing and bad boy personality eventually catches up to him over the years and is what leads to his untimely demise by a fire poker! But in Thad Luckinbill's very last appearance in March of 2019, it appears that "J.T." is very much alive and well!

However, it seems that this time Thad Luckinbill is truly finished with the series. Perhaps it is because of the difficulties of working with his now ex-wife, Amelia Heinle. Thad and Amelia married in 2007, however, the pair filed for divorce in 2017. As Soap Opera Digest reported, the pair cited "irreconcilable differences".
While the pair are still not officially divorced, the 47-year-old actor enjoys spending his free time with his two children, son Thaddeus and daughter Georgia, whom he shares with Heinle. Thad Luckinbill has also become an award-winning producer over the years, known for films including La La Land (2016) and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser (2018).
