'When does The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel return?' is a question everyone is dying to find out! Whether you binged season three in a day or have been rewatching the entire series in eager anticipation of what will happen to "Midge" (Rachel Brosnahan) and "Susie" (Alex Borstein) next, we've got you covered with the most recent predictions on season four's release!

As in past Mrs. Maisel fashion, the new season is usually released in early December. Season two was released on December 6th, 2018, and season three December 5th, 2019. However, this year has seen its share of setbacks in the film industry due to COVID-19 and only time can really tell at this point.

When Does The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Return?

To try to answer the question, 'When does The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel return?', The Hollywood Reporter sat down with the showrunners in a recent interview. Co-producer Daniel Palladino stated, "King COVID is the master of us all right now. It remains to be seen whether productions are going to be fully running before there's a vaccine. It looks daunting."

Palladino's wife, co-producer, and series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino agrees with her husband but remained a bit more optimistic saying, "We know what happens in season four — we could write it, but none of us really knows when we're going to be producing these things. We're all just sort of crossing our fingers and hoping for the best."

Season Four Storylines

What we can predict, however, is that season four will be full of exciting storylines. Season three ended with "Midge" being kicked off of "Shy Baldwin's" (Leroy Mclain's) tour, "Susie" admitting her gambling problem to "Joel" (Michael Zegen), and many open love angles for "Midge" to choose from!

As the show's storyline enters the 1960s, times will be changing for "Midge" and there's the elephant in the room with how the series will deal with comedian Lenny Bruce's (Luke Kirby) impending death. As Sherman-Palladino told The Hollywood Reporter, "You can’t pretend it’s not gonna happen."

Only "King COVID" can tell at this point when the series will make its return but we are remaining optimistic that season four of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will air in late 2020 or early 2021. In the meantime test out your Marvelous Mrs. Maisel knowledge here!
