• Epstein's manipulative hosting tactics

  • Andrew's arrest and ongoing investigation

Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier, once orchestrated a dinner party at his New York residence in honor of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew. Epstein's controlling nature was evident, as he preferred to host events at his mansion, ensuring he remained the center of attention. "He didn’t want to leave his house. He wanted everyone to come to his mansion so he could be in control, so he could manipulate his audience under this palatial roof where he lived," recalled former publicist Peggy Siegal. The dinner, attended by notable figures like Charlie Rose and Woody Allen, was part of Epstein's efforts to maintain a facade of respectability.

Siegal's Reluctant Involvement

Peggy Siegal, who described her friendship with Epstein as "transactional," was tasked with organizing the star-studded guest list. Despite her reservations, Siegal reportedly agreed to help Epstein in hopes of securing a favor involving a film for Queen Elizabeth II. "I totally jeopardized my relationship with all these important people — they did not know who [Jeffrey] was," she confessed. The dinner's guest list included high-profile personalities who were allegedly unaware of Epstein's criminal activities at the time.

Andrew's Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

The connection between Andrew and Epstein has continued to haunt the former prince. In early 2025, the FBI released the "Epstein Files," which included incriminating images and emails between Andrew and Epstein. This revelation prompted Andrew to relinquish his HRH honorifics. In February 2025, Andrew was arrested on allegations of misconduct in public office, accused of sharing confidential information with Epstein during his tenure as a U.K. trade envoy. Despite these allegations, Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing. "In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family," Andrew stated.
