Presley Gerber has died. The model died on September 20 at the age of 27. Shortly before news of his death became public, Paris Hilton commented on his final Instagram post, writing, “I love you, brother.”

Presley’s post, dated August 5, shows him wearing clothes from Vuori, a brand his family has been collaborating with for about a year. His main feed had remained quiet ever since. Paris and Presley had long been considered friends, making her comment particularly poignant in light of the news.

Paris Hilton Comments on Presley’s Latest Instagram Post

The Instagram post from August shows Presley outside wearing a black shirt and black sweatpants. In some of the photos, he is smiling; in another, he is leaning forward and laughing. The fact that Paris Hilton commented on the post on Sunday, shortly before news of his death broke, is particularly striking given the timing.

His death would not become public knowledge until later, and Hilton would later release a longer statement about his passing. Presley’s last public appearance with Hilton was also relatively recent, as he attended the premiere of one of her projects.

Presley Gerber made his last red-carpet appearance on January 20 at the premiere of the documentary Paris Hilton’s Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir. Even months before his death, he continued to be seen in public with his family.

In May, he attended the RE/DONE x Kaia Gerber Short/Cuts launch event in Los Angeles. There, he posed with his mother, Cindy Crawford, his father, Rande Gerber, and his sister, Kaia. Later, he posed for photos with his sister again, putting his arm around her.

Most recently, Kaia Gerber has spoken openly about how her brother’s long-standing struggles have affected the family.

“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. She also explained that this was why she had long seen herself as the “the easy one” child and had been reluctant to ask for help herself.

Cindy Crawford’s spokesperson also said that the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Presley Spoke Openly About Mental Health

Presley had previously spoken openly about his mental health struggles and his use of medication. In November, he stepped back from social media to focus on his mental health. A month later, he spoke openly in a video about night terrors, panic attacks, and medications such as buprenorphine, Xanax, and Valium.

He also said that doctors often gave him too much leeway. As early as 2023, he described mental health in a podcast as an integral part of his daily life and a round-the-clock commitment. In May, he also thanked his father in an Instagram post for his constant support.
