Country singer Nicole Taylor, a member of sibling trio Taylor Red, has died at 35 after battling breast cancer. Her triplet sisters, Nika and Natalie Taylor, shared the news in a YouTube video and on a memorial page, according to Page Six. Nicole died on Sept. 28, and her family has already held a private funeral. The loss marks a painful moment for the trio, which built a large online following through music and comedy videos while staying rooted in their country sound and close family bond.
Nika and Natalie Taylor Confirm Nicole’s Death
In the video, Nika and Natalie spoke openly about the difficulty of addressing their sister’s death so soon after it happened. “We are still processing everything. This honestly feels really hard to talk about, but we’re going to do our best in sharing some of her story,” Natalie said according to Page Six. The sisters also said Nicole is “at peace and no longer suffering.” On the memorial page, they described Nicole as the oldest of the three and a central figure in their lives, calling her both their leader and best friend.
Breast Cancer Diagnosis Came in 2022
Natalie said Nicole was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 while the family was out in a public place. Later, Nika said, Nicole learned she had Stage 3 breast cancer and that it was very aggressive. The sisters described a long and painful health fight, but also one marked by resolve. Nicole kept pushing forward through treatment and tried to keep fear from taking over daily life. Her family’s account paints a picture of someone who faced serious illness with discipline, faith and a steady sense of purpose.
Nicole Taylor Kept Performing Through Treatment
Nicole’s sisters said she stayed active even while receiving chemotherapy. “She pushed us all to have fun and not live in fear and hopelessness and she even did CrossFit during the time she was getting chemo treatments,” Natalie told Page Six. They also recalled a church moment soon after the diagnosis, when Nicole was prayed over and later said she felt deep peace. That calm, they said, stayed with her for a long stretch and helped shape the fierce way she handled the illness in the years that followed.
Taylor Red Built a Massive Digital Music Audience
Nicole rose to prominence alongside Nika and Natalie as part of the red-haired triplet act first called Red Roots. The sisters grew up playing guitar, banjo, fiddle and mandolin, building a musical foundation before expanding online. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the group began posting synchronized comedy skits, transition clips and music challenges on TikTok and YouTube. Their audience surged to more than 13 million TikTok followers and 16 million YouTube subscribers. Along the way, the trio also landed partnerships with brands including Sonic Drive-In, Crocs, Lipton and Skittles.
