Jared Leto is facing fresh allegations after a new BBC documentary featured accounts from ten women who spoke about alleged sexual misconduct. Four women accused the Oscar-winning actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman of criminal sexual conduct, with several saying the alleged incidents happened when they were teenagers. The claims date from 2002 to 2016, when Leto was in his 30s and 40s. He is now 54. According to Hello Magazine, the documentary also includes claims that some of the women received sexually explicit phone calls when they were underage.

BBC Documentary Details Four Criminal Conduct Claims

The documentary outlines a series of allegations from four women. One woman said she was sexually assaulted in a motel bathroom when she was 17. Another alleged that Leto threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19. A third claimed she had sex with him when she was 17, which would be considered statutory rape under California law. A fourth woman said she was groomed and alleged that he made repeated sexually explicit phone calls to her when she was 16. Four other women also described sexual phone calls when they were younger.

Women Say Encounters Happened Between 2002 and 2016

The women said they encountered Leto over a 14-year period. One of the alleged victims said, "This was 25 years ago… he has gotten away with it," according to Hello Magazine. The BBC said it corroborated parts of several accounts through friends and family members who were told about the alleged encounters at the time. The documentary also includes comments from two men who worked with Thirty Seconds to Mars and said they were uneasy about the singer and actor’s interactions with teenage girls during that period.

Former Band Associates Describe Unease Around Teen Girls

One former associate said, "I think everyone thought the age gap was way too big," according to Hello Magazine. That account adds to the broader pattern described in the documentary, where multiple women alleged inappropriate conduct while they were still in their teens. The program places those claims alongside testimony from people who were around Leto professionally. The reports do not indicate any criminal charges tied to the documentary claims, but the accusations mark another serious development for the actor and musician as scrutiny around his past conduct grows.

Earlier Allegations Against Jared Leto Also Resurface

This is not the first time Leto has faced accusations of sexual misconduct. Last year, Los Angeles DJ Allie Teilz alleged that she had been assaulted by the actor when she was 17. After that claim became public, several other women made similar allegations. Nine women also accused him of sexual impropriety last year, and he denied those allegations. Hello Magazine reports that his representatives were contacted for comment on the latest claims. Alongside the accusations, Leto’s public profile remains tied to a long film and music career that includes an Oscar win for Dallas Buyers Club.
