• Actor Ian Ziering is best known for '90210'
  • He was attacked during New Year's Eve
  • THIS is what we know

What a terrible way to begin 2024! The former 'Beverly Hills, 90210' heartthrob and 'Sharknado' star was apparently not in the mood for any end-of-year revelry when things got physical on Hollywood Blvd.

Ian went full beast mode

Caught on camera by TMZ, Ziering stepped out of his car and into a confrontation that quickly escalated.

As punches flew, other bikers joined the fray, swarming the actor in a chaotic melee. With the adrenaline pumping, Ziering made a dash across the road, but the bikers weren't letting him off easy – they chased him down, grabbing and pushing him into another vehicle.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the ruckus, stating that officers arrived at the scene near Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave. around 3 p.m. following reports of a fight sparked by reckless driving. The drama is still under the LAPD's microscope, but Ziering's reps are keeping mum, and the actor himself hasn't spilled any beans on his Insta.

In a twist that tugs at the heartstrings, another video shows Ziering comforting his visibly shaken daughter, Mia. Despite the rough-and-tumble, TMZ reports that father and daughter are physically unscathed.

The video shows Ziering seemingly throwing the first punch at one of the bikers in front of his car. He then pushes the cyclist down on the ground. His lead doesn’t last long, however, as a dozen of the other bikers quickly begin to surround him.

The Los Angeles Police Department did not confirm the identity of the victim. But officers are investigating the incident which took place at around 3 p.m. Sunday near the famed corner of Hollywood and Highland, right along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "The mini-motorcycle riders were driving recklessly and struck the victim's vehicle and an altercation occurred," they said.

Ziering, who recently reminisced about his career at 90s Con, revealed a juicy tidbit about a brush with reality TV hosting – he was considered for 'American Idol'! But he quipped that he'd be a disaster at it and is setting his sights on 'The Price Is Right' instead.

As the investigation into the New Year's Eve ruckus continues, fans are left wondering if Ziering's next role might be more 'reality' than 'reel'. Stay tuned for more updates on this Hollywood street saga!
