Adrien Nicholas Brody was born in Queens, New York on April 14, 1973, and already had fame in his family! His mother is renowned photographer Sylvia Plachy, while his father Elliot is a retired history teacher.

Brody attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, telling NUVO Magazine that it was "a perfect outlet for my kind of adventuresome behaviour and imagination."
