• Bella Hadid attended the 2022 Met Gala
  • She wore a stunning black corset
  • A news publication misquoted her

Bella Hadid is clapping back! The world-renowned supermodel is clearing up the air about an interview she did with Interview magazine, and her words were re-published and taken out of context!

Bella Hadid isn't pleased with the misquote!

Bella Hadid is arguably one of the world's most famous supermodels, and it would come as no surprise that the model has been in some compromising outfits. But, despite all this, Hadid is making it clear that she was misquoted by another publication following her talk with Interview. Her outfit for the 2022 Met Gala wasn't as bad as it was said, and she's making it known!

The model, who stunned on the red carpet in a Burberry black corset that was very, very tight, fit in on the "Gilded-era" theme. The look, which did look uncomfortable, wasn't the reason she tried her best to get inside as quick as she could!

"I literally, like, blacked out. I don’t even think I got one good photo on the red carpet," she said to the magazine. But, Hadid was talking about her anxiety, something that she has often been open about with the public.

"Now that I look back, I realize that people literally stand there for 20 minutes and they give," she continued. "I looked once to the left, once to the right, and I ran up the stairs."

Multiple publications took these quotes and twisted them to fit a narrative to make a headline that Hadid said was false.

"Bella Hadid Jokes She 'Blacked Out' on Met Gala Carpet Due to Tight Corset: 'I Couldn’t Breathe,'" one headline read. The supermodel screenshot the headline and wrote to her Instagram story to clear the air.

"I want to make something very clear, this is not at all what I [meant to] say. I didn’t say I blacked out because of my corset," she wrote in her story.

"I joked that I blacked out, not because of my corset, but from the regular anxieties and excitement of the carpet," she continued. "I meant more like it goes by in a flash. So quickly that ya barely remember it! I should have said that."

To be fair, her further comments of corsets never being "too comfortable to begin with" is accurate, but some celebs were put on blast for their unhealthy weight loss journeys for the prestigious event.

Among the models and actresses, the criticism includes Kim Kardashian who revealed that she lost 16 pounds in 3 weeks just to squeeze into Marilyn Monroe's dress. This didn't sit right with many, including actress Lili Reinhart who said that the comments were "disgusting" considering how many "millions of people are influenced" by her.

The Met Gala happened over a week ago, but the drama lives on!
